MoShadee lets loose dropping his first lines after the vast, soulful GROVE STREET album that was released earlier this year. A marvelous street album sprouting from New Jersey’s thoroughly and most certifiably nation leading hip-hop buzz movement. Showing no signs of slowing down Mo gives the beat special attention flipping it in a mean, personal way in his well-honed signature lyrical cadence. #HKW

Here’s the latest music video from Canadian Hip-Hop act Shing Shing Regime. “Shing Till Infinity” is from the buzz-worthy I AM SHING Mixtape. The Regime have a knack for mood-creation and this one more than delivers the visuals worthy of the song. Of note, the Regime haven’t abandoned their formula of using underrated Hamilton locations and re-birthing them through supreme lens-work. Must watch!
In 2010, most predicted that 2011 would be the year of new rap faces, a rebirth of the genre fueled by the underground. No doubt “I AM SHING”, Shing Shing Regime’s debut mixtape, will fulfill plenty of hip-hop appetites. This is one of the most important Hip-Hop releases in Canadian music history. Salute Truth, Cee Self 7, Symmetry and Future Buddha DJ Akiin have compiled a 22 track release that displays the Regime’s significant lyrical talents and beat choice. Every person I play this for is taken back by the depth of the lyrics and the unique “future-vintage” sound of the album. This hasn’t left my whip’s CD Player and is on full repeat in Steel City’s barbershops. Features production by Cee Self 7, DJ Akiin, SUP∆83, Eso Tahreek, Bronze Nazareth, Tejani and Focus. Peuuuum Past is Shing Shing Regime’s third release in 2011, a brisk buildup for what will be the most important drop of the year. Cee Self 7 comes with yet another sonic boom showing and proving the Shing Shing Regime’s ability to make people-riddim with earth-sounds moving. No doubt, this is a strong minded, feel good anthem with a potent hook. Absolute Truth, Cee Self 7 and Symmetry are their reflective best, a welcome treat. According to their twitter account (@ShingShing7) these are releases from the upcoming “I AM SHING” Mixtape, not to be confused with the highly anticipated “Invincible Swordplay EP” release. It’s always exciting times when the Shing Shing Regime are in a zone. Mount Never Rest is the Canadian group’s newest mixtape track: no beat is safe here as the Regime is on their old school ‘jacking all beats’ 50 Cent steez. The Shing brings new angles to this Raekwon beat. It’s a sobering but sharp display of lyricism that leaves the listener in a state of reflection. But there is still plenty of excitement here as Symmetry 7 from Toronto, the newest addition to the ever ubiquitous Shing Shing Regime introduces the song and welcomes the listener into a new cadence, a reminder of just how much more there is in the vault. Absolute and Cee Self 7 guide the rest of the track to the runway as it takes high flight. Great Canadian hip-hop. Get this track now! MP3 Download | Mediafire

Shing Shing Regime’s newest offering is a swift return to 2010 form. With an imminent release of their now fashionably delayed EP shadowing them, the Regime heads back to the studio for a new take on the changing of seasons, a non-EP track. A haunting, melodious sample in combination with the Regime’s newly renewed vigor for snappy worldplay is just the right taste of sonic soup. Of note, Spring (Shing) Training is produced by emcee Cee Self 7, who is ever-increasingly taking production responsibility in the Regime. Get this on your Spring CD/iPod Mixes.
